This table shows the total number of shoulder procedures carried out in the last calendar year.  It compares the number and types of primary and revision procedures undertaken in NHS, independent sector and Independent Sector Treatment Centre (ISTC) settings.  Also included is a comparison of patients’ physical status in each setting as well as the source of the funding for each operation.

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classification is used for determining a patient’s physical status.
